We hired What's the Kitch to cater for our backyard wedding of nearly 160 people - no small task - and they absolutely CRUSHED it! We did a grazing table and a floating supper so I was nervous how our guests would perceive not having a seated dinner but everyone couldn't stop raving about how fun, different and delicious all of the food was. Not only was the food fantastic, but Dave, Jeff and their team are some of the best in the business. Absolutely outstanding in every way. Dave and the staff at 'What's The Kitch' exceeded all of our expectations. We hosted a floating supper for 160 guests for our daughter's wedding at Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was outstanding. The floating supper was a new concept for us so we were a little hesitant about not going with a traditional dinner. We had 12 passed entrees, a grazing table, a pasta station, and a desert table. Definitely enough food for our hungry New York City Italian family. It's been two days and we've already gotten so many calls from friends and family about how much they enjoyed the food. Dave was extremely helpful throughout the process. Every question I had was answered by him immediately (usually within 1-2 hours of me sending my email). WOW! So many amazing things we could say about Jeff and Dave! In the beginning of the planning process, Dave helped us pick the floating style dinner (their specialty). This was the best decision that we could have chosen. The food was spectacular (especially the mac and cheese egg rolls) and each item was a huge hit from our guests. Not only was the food incredible, but the effort and care that Dave and Jeff put into our wedding was phenomenal. They helped get our rentals in order. An absolutely amazing dining experience! We tried 7 courses and had a hard time deciding what we liked most! The lobster mac and cheese was cheesy perfection with a crunchy topping. The shrimp and peppers had a little bit of spice and sweet in each bite and I’m still wanting more of it! The watermelon gazpacho was refreshing and cool on a summer night with all the flavor in each bite. The pizza would be a huge hit at any party- had to stop myself so I could enjoy the rest of my dinner! It was all amazing and I would recommend them to everyone. Amazing! My wife and I put our wedding together in about a month. Things were crazy, and we were frazzled, but after speaking with Dave, We knew we’d get it all done and it would be fantastic! Dave guided us through all aspects of the wedding day, not just catering. There was no question out of his wheelhouse! And he was always a calming presence for us. But, Dave and Jeff are primarily caterers, not wedding planners, and boy did they come through for us! Our guests loved the idea of the Floating Supper and they raved about the food! The Mac & Cheese Egg Rolls were probably the biggest hit, but the Chicken Dumplings were a close second, or maybe it was the Shrimp Mojito… or… or…. or… Really, there wasn’t anything we wouldn’t order again! I truly have no words for how AMAZING What's The Kitch was. When we had first reached out we were so excited about their menu selections. Once we had a chance to try everything during our tasting we weren't disappointed. After postponing due to Covid we finally were able to celebrate our wedding this past weekend. There were groups swarming where the wait staff was coming out so they could grab an appetizer before they were all gone. After a successful bridal shower, I have to give credit where credit is due. Dave was an all-star, when tasked with a heavy-duty allergy list, he was beyond accommodating. I decided on the Floating Supper option I saw on the website. Dave helped my plan the menu from beginning to end. He always had the success of my party as his first priority...not how much he could make off of suggesting only the priciest dishes. Dave and Jeff worked miracles out of my kitchen which is the size of a utility closet. The food was excellent. The server Dave brought was right on point all the time. They left me with a clean kitchen! My only complaint is that Dave did not bring any business cards! All of my guests wanted to know where I found this caterer. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else for my next occasion. Oh...and the price was right. If you are reading this and need a caterer, your search is over. Do yourself a favor and hire these guys.

I don't even know where to start with this review, as I have a million positive things to say about What's The Kitch, Dave, Jeff, and their incredible team! From the very moment we reached out to Dave, he was quick with response, and always had our best interest in mind. He was a HUGE help with our planning process, and there every step of the way. He even put us in touch with other vendors, like our amazing wedding planner, which we are so grateful for. Because we had a destination wedding, we weren't able to do a tasting prior to the wedding, but I knew everything was going to be great... I was definitely right, but we were still blown away with how amazing the food was. So many of our guests have expressed that we raised the bar for wedding caterers, and I have to agree completely. Another aspect I would like to mention is his incredible team. On our wedding day, one of the other vendors provided by the venue had a pretty big slip up, but Dave's team stepped in immediately and mended everything with exceptional professionalism. Every person on his team was so kind, funny, professional, and every move they made was done with a smile on their faces. Late to review but - We were lucky enough to hold my son and daughter-in-law's wedding before the pandemic and even luckier to have found What's the Kitch to cater the event in a venue that required us to bring everything in. Dave, Natasha, Jeffrey and their team were amazing. They were so easy to work with, so responsive to my every email, so creative, and very reasonable. The food was fabulous and the presentation of the food and the stations was perfect. The grazing table (not to be missed) was something to behold. When we did our site visit to the venue, we discovered the kitchen was pretty ill-equipped and there were strict rules about cooking. Not a problem for this unflappable team. They handled everything with extraordinary patience and grace and allowed our family to relax and enjoy. When I mentioned I had planned to order lunch for the wedding party, Dave said, "No problem. We can provide lunch". On top of everything else they spent the day doing, this was above and beyond. And then, after finishing cleaning up and loading everything back into their vans at 2:00AM, they were back on the rooftop of our hotel at 8:00 to set up a casual brunch for our guests. Who does that?? The whole experience - from the initial tasting in the kids' apartment, to the wedding, to the brunch the next morning, to the anniversary dinner in their apartment - was simply the best we could have imagined. Our guests have not stopped raving about it. We had the party in our showroom and also had a Biergarten on our building rooftop and they executed the different spaces perfectly - with separate Oktoberfest themed bites for the Biergarten! From start to clean-up, this was a wonderful experience. Jeffrey and his staff are very professional. From the very beginning I love his "if you want it, we can make it happen" attitude. And that's exactly what he did. We wanted a selection of light bites and he guided us in choosing just the right combination. They were all superb--I couldn't even select a favorite. The party started at 6:30 and the food kept being replenished til the party ended several hours later. It was all prepared right in our apartment on the Upper West Side, which added to the intimate feeling we aimed for. And, as promised, the clean-up left the kitchen and dining area sparkling!

They are the dream team for foodies. They catered my wedding last week at the Bronx Museum of The Arts and we could not have been happier with how perfect and magical everything turned out. Natasha is the person you want on on your event as she thinks of everything and then executes on all the details. When we found out there would be rain on our wedding day, she quickly checked in and worked together on a plan, everything worked out.

Dave & Jeff also spent a long time working with us on our menu beforehand to ensure it was everything we wanted, and they delivered. All the passed bites were delicious and everyone loved the food stations. The grazing table was absolute stunner, people kept saying it was so beautiful!

Amazing! Dave was a true gem. He was really easy to work with and helped us to create the perfect menu for the occasion. Cooked on location, the food was fresh and delicious - Everybody kept raving about how great it was! They were attentive with the amount of food that was needed for the size of our event, leaving us with plenty of food to enjoy with some remaining to nibble on (late night grub always a plus when there's a lot of alcohol involved). I was running around hosting and I didn't have to worry, given that they took complete charge of cooking, setting up and then cleaning up after themselves. This is a follow-up review as they did another event. Had people at my dad's apartment for some out-of-town family which includes some very fussy eaters. Again as professional as they could be.  A lot of fun with the planning and very helpful with their ideas.  Came right on time and got to work cooking and laying out the grazing table - quite beautiful and inviting.  About half hour after the guests all arrived, they started passing small bites.  The service was wonderful, friendly and discrete. Highlights were the chicken parm lollipops, mojito shot glass shrimp and the cheesecake tacos.  Even the folks who never eat dessert kept coming back for more! Truly a class act!!. - Philip R.

I recently booked WTK for my bridal shower and it was INCREDIBLE! I have guests still calling me asking for their information. Everything was smooth and effortless from start to finish. Dave helped me create a menu that would appeal to all while taking special care to the fact I had several guests who were vegetarians, gluten free, and had allergies. There was something for everyone and not one complaint in the room. The food was served fresh, cooked on the spot and served in beautiful displays. It added such a special touch to my event and I couldn't be happier. A favorite among my guests were the chicken and waffles, shrimp tostadas, and the bourbon mearballs. My absolute favorite was the mini crab cakes. Oh, I cannot forget to mention the mini grilled cheese sandwiches that were buttery and flavorful and went flying off the display as soon as they were prepared. All in all, WTK made my day extra special and I would and have recommend them to anyone. These guys did a fantastic job. I had a party at a large presentation space for 40 people. From the initial call with Natasha to working with Dave on the menu, to setup, it was a pleasure working with them.  The food was delicious and they did a wonderful job of accommodating my vegetarian friends even denoting the veggie dishes.  The presentation was artful and inviting, especially the grazing table, with cheeses, dips, chutneys, crudites, chocolate-covered cherries and assorted "junk-food" on the grazing table.  It was all appreciated.  My guests were blown away by the spread.My only regret is that I didn't hide a few of the Kung Pao dumplings to be snacking on now.  And maybe a couple of the spring rolls.  And some shrimp and mango skewers...I have finally found my NYC caterer!! - Philip R

I had the pleasure of working with What's The Kitch in November 2017. They provided a full-service experience---food, beverage, staffing and rentals---for my 250-person corporate cocktail reception. 

This was a high-profile event for my global company and the the environment was challenging as the event was onsite at our Manhattan office. They did a tremendous job on all counts. The pre-planning process was smooth, I always felt taken care of and could immediately tell, though the company is still 'young', that I was working with seasoned professionals. The food and presentation was highly rated and well received by attendees. The buzz of the evening was around the artfully crafted grazing table piled high with international cheese spreads, fruits, nuts, hummus and more. Some described it as Anthropology display window piece, it was THAT gorgeous! The staff was attentive and friendly. The best way, or biggest compliment, to describe the evening is that though the event ended at 6:30 half the attendees were still enjoying themselves well after 8:00pm.

Natasha was my point-of-contact from the start and immediately gained my confidence. She was professional, prompt and thorough. She helped me develop a plan even when the first time she saw my event space it was completely under construction. She crafted a staffing plan that would work with the space restrictions and was always one step ahead of me. All requests were met with a can-do attitude and they delivered!

A relatively new company, with limited reviews so was a bit hesitant at first. After speaking with one of the Chefs Dave and seeing the pictures - I was sold. Very Personable and accommodating. Our party had more than 100 guests in my home and I must say the food and bar service were top notch. By the time desert start coming out, most of our guests were so full, they didn't partake, including myself so I can't speak to that. But they looked delicious. Hired What's The Kitch for my company holiday party this past weekend at my offices in Manhattan. Amazing service and staff from the two executive chefs Dave and Jeffrey who were so nice and professional and the serving staff who were so kind and courteous to my guests.  All the servers were immaculately dressed. I am a sucker for that. Must look professional. I had about 100 employees at our party and the food kept flowing and kept everyone satisfied. Everything that came out looked innovative and top notch.  At our pre-party meeting the night before Natasha, their event planner/coordinator described how they would set up our office to look festive for the party and it sounded at first to be to hard to pull off but when they came in to set up it was exactly how they planned and it looked so professional. I attended a business holiday party Monday evening.  I was able to sample the fare that steadily came out of the kitchen.  The pulled pork sliders were a favorite as was the shrimp/avocado toast!  There was plenty of veggie fare for folks who don't partake in meat or fish. One of the deserts passed around was a shortbread cup with a slice of banana and banana pudding! Another desert was the Hot Chocolate Station, hot chocolate with choices of white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, peppermint sticks, spices, marshmallows AND either Kahlua or Bailey's! I attended an event for WE WORK NYC last week -It was catered by this new an upcoming catering business called "what's the kitch".  All I have to say is hands down amazing . From the presentation of all the trays (halloween themed) to the taste and texture. I recommend it to anyone in the NYC or Long Island area.
